It's either get to my place or we'll have a battle.' I think I was aware of other young men in the distance, but that may have been a delusion. "I went with the new young man quite docilely. He seemed earnest and polite and I've gotten too old to feel that I am in danger of - uh - personal harm. Besides, I was so confused and light - headed that I lacked any will to resist.
